Medical License Exam for Oman, Stepwise Approach
1 – You have to register at www.promteric.com and take the date of exam.
2 – Pass your prometric written exam.
3 – Then go for data flow for your documents verification.
4 – Start searching jobs in Oman as GP once you get an offer from any hospital, the hospital will sponsor the visa and the exam fees along with the hotel accommodation and transport to the venue of the Oral exam.
5 – The interview/oral exam is from Family Practice Oxford Handbook of Medicine and Pharmacology as there are three persons in the interview panel; two family med consultants and one clinical pharmacologist.
6 – The Oman Prometric written exam is valid for one year and passing score is 60 percent.
7 – The oral exam can be taken after written exam and data flow after which the sponsor or the hospital that has offered you the position will apply for your Oman license and residential card.
8 – The fees was around 35,000 rupees (1,300 Dhm and someone can double check on this) and the hospital only applies for visa. You have to buy your airline ticket yourself.
9 – You also have to pay for dataflow.
10 – Some hospitals convert your MOH ( UAE ) data flow for Oman license exam and some don’t. In the later case, you have to go through the verification of Degree, PMDC License, experience and good standing certificate.
11 – The hospitals you will apply at will require both the Oman Prometric written exam of 60 percent result and dataflow to process for your Oral Exam.
